Rock’n’Roll Queen

  I love this one for so many reasons. First, it features one of my absolute favourites: my fabulous Liebeskind bag. This beauty of metallic leather just levels up every outfit. Besides, because of its colouring I get so much wear out of it; it matches black, gray, red, pink as well as white tones. 

 Second, is that to its basis it has a little black dress. It’s just a move nobody expects you to make: wearing a little black dress in a rock’n’roll-y outfit. The dress that holds the whole construction of this look provides it with elegance, which is, as far as my concern, never wrong.  

  And finally, it’s easy to fashion together (I soooo love it for I’m the biggest lazy-bones): you just put on a dress with a leather jacket, pick up some overknees, a scarf with scull print and pilot goggles. Here you are, all ready to rock!

Pearls 

This one is easy. I want to share with you my attempts to create an outfit out of nothing.

Who knows me well could tell I’m not quite a country girl. So when the time came for me to climb a very steep Stairway to Heaven (which is literally the name of the beautiful and yet shabby flight of stairs leading to the very top of a hill in old Heidelberg), I found myself with no appropriate clothes, for I was not at home and had no access to my wardrobe in its holeness. So I dug my old Timberlands out of the suitcase, which I – thank God – happened to have packed by blind chance earlier, and borrowed my boyfriend’s wool jumper. And I followed my old principle: don’t know what to wear? wear pearls. The following is what came out of it. 

Pink Panther

I didn’t want to start off with a complex outfit like this one. But when it comes to the matters of heart you’re just powerless to resist. This post is an ode to menswear.

   I’ve always been a firm believer in learning by following in somebody successful’s footsteps. One of the most successful ground-breakers in fashion was Marlene Dietrich, who brought menswear into the women’s world. Indeed, there is no easier way to stress one’s femininity but to envelop oneself in male clothes. Not to mention the feeling of a protecting embrace when wearing men’s suits.   

   This outfit is a perfect example of a true feminine spirit wrapped in a men’s robe. I do not actually know a single one self-respecting heterosexual man who would be willing to wear pink trousers. And, normally, I am not a big fan of pink either, but in this case it works perfectly to emphasize one’s playfulness and inventiveness. The pink on the male cut doesn’t make you look girlish, but it actually works for your advantage creating the literal “bright-woman-in-the-men’s-world” impression.  

If you want to try this look out, just remember that the clothes have to be not much larger than your actual size. Mix it with some extravagant feminine shoes and accessories and don’t forget a belt. All in all, have fun with it.
